Start with semi pureed food then transition to family food gradually without salt and sugar until baby turns 1. Breastmilk remains the primary source of nutrition for the baby hence breastfeed first and then offer solids.

Follow three day rule.
Give mashed boiled Moong Daal, rice kangi.
Ragi porridge, rice porridge.
Give vegetables such as pumpkin, potato, sweet potato, carrot puree, and fruits puree of pears, avocado, apple, ripe banana, papaya .
Breastfeeding or formula feeding should continue alongside the solid foods, as they still form an essential part of the infant diet till 1 year.
Let the baby decide the quantity. Do not force feed or distraction feed.
