#asktheexpert Hello Mam, my son is now 18 months old but still the gap in the front part of his skull (anterior fontanelle) is not closed can you please tell me how much time it will take to close or is there anything to worry about.

A. hi well ,ideally it takes a time around 12 - 18 months age so its ok to get some variation in few days. and if child is not showing any problem due to this , no need to worry. just get it checked during regular checkup from your pediatrician
