#AskTheExpert hello I want to give my 4.5 month old baby teethers as she is licking her fingers. is it ok to give them teethers? are wooden teethers good? please advise which kind of teethers should I buy. thank u

A. Teethers are used to soothe babies' gums when their teeth start coming in, at around 3 to 7 months of age. look for silicon based orthodontic model as they are better for developing teeth and gums. If the teether falls out of your baby's mouth, ensure that you sterilise it before offering it to your baby again.

A. yes mum definitely you can give teethers to the child if you think that there are the initial symptoms of the teething in the baby you can go for the water teether or the gel teether and make sure that it should be sterilized properly before every use
