#AskTheExpert hello, I had a c sec on 22 jun, so can i get vaccinated for covid 19 and which vaccine should I go for? would it be safe for a lactating mother.

A. Hello, your question is related to the Covid vaccination so you had c section on 22 June and now you want to take Covid vaccination then it’s okay you can take covishield vaccinations

A. any Covid vaccine like covishield / covaxin / sputnik can be given safely to nursing mothers and pregnant women as per the latest recommendation which is approved by government of India.children are not included in this list.trials are still going on but proper confirmation regarding this is not yet done by the govt.it may take some more time.till then children need to be kept under full safety precautions and given a good balanced diet n supplements for gdsood immunity and other vaccines done timely. Nursing mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely.it has no adverse effects on the baby.in case of any pain or fever after vaccination,tab dolo can be taken which is safest during this period.
