Back Pain: This is often caused by the strain of labor, hormonal changes, and the body adjusting to its pre-pregnancy state. To alleviate back pain:
Rest: Ensure you are getting adequate rest and avoid lifting heavy objects. Heat or Cold Compress: Apply a warm compress or heating pad to the affected area to soothe muscles. Alternatively, you can use a cold compress if the pain is due to inflammation. Gentle Exercise and Stretching: Light stretches and postpartum exercises, especially focusing on your back and pelvic muscles, can help relieve tension. Posture: Pay attention to your posture while breastfeeding or carrying your baby, as poor posture can worsen back pain. Massage: A gentle massage from a professional, or self-massage, can help reduce muscle tension.
White Discharge: It is normal to experience vaginal discharge (lochia) after childbirth, which can be white, pink, or bloody and gradually decreases over several weeks. However, if the discharge has a strong odor, is accompanied by pain, or persists for a long time, it could indicate an infection, and you should see your healthcare provider.
For both issues, if the pain is severe or the discharge seems unusual, it's best to consult your doctor to rule out any complications like infections or postpartum conditions.
