#AskTheExpert hello dr.my 4 year ,4 months daughter is suffering from extreme coughing & bad sore throat from last 4 days.As her dr suggested to give kufril LS 5ml thrice a day.its not working & she is unable to sleep at night .pls suggest a good syrup for sore throat & coughing.

Author of questionMom of a 8 yr old girl3 years agoA. sir she was suffering from viral fever last week.by god grace now from last 3 days she is coughing(khaasi);& extreme pain in throat due to sore throat.Alkof syrup suits her earlier.can u suggest how much ml & dose frequency for 4years ,4 months old kid.Alkof junior or Alkof(pls confirm)

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most osf the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongzestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
