Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor! My son is now 13 months old. He’s been teething and already has 8 teeth, with two more coming out. For the past month he has stopped eating and is completely on breast feed. We’re worried sick about him as he is already underweight (7 kgs at present). Is there something we are missing?

A. hello mam no there is nothing to worry about you can wait for that eat coming face to go out as during this period gums of kids are sore and they tend to avoid the solid food try to give more of liquids and smoothies.

A. Hi, usually baby will get triple the birth weight by one year so You can check accordingly to babies birth weight. While teething they will be cranky and avoid solid food and demands for breast milk. Please try to divert and feed baby on time. As soon as the baby wakes up try to give a little water and feed solid food and give a gap of two hours and then breast feed.Since baby is one plus year please give three meals and two snacks along with that you can give breast milk, juice, Badam milk, milkshakes anything which is home-made. Make a timetable of your own so that you can cover different type of pulses, veggies, fruits.
