#asktheexpert hello doctor... My son is 5.5 months old. He has a skin rash on his head. He also keeps scratching his head (around his ears). He keeps rubbing around his ears a lot at night... pls give solution...

A. It sounds like your 5.5-month-old son may be experiencing a skin rash or irritation on his head, possibly due to conditions like cradle cap (seborrheic dermatitis) or eczema. Cradle cap is common in infants and appears as yellow or greasy patches on the scalp. It's not usually painful and can be managed by gently washing the scalp with mild baby shampoo and using a soft brush to remove the flakes. If it doesn't improve or seems to be bothering him, you might want to consult a pediatrician for further advice or a prescribed medicated cream or shampoo.
