#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor my daughter who is 5 years old, keeps sucking her thumb through out her sleep.. She is unable to come out of this habit and it's been continuing from her birth.. we are scared about her misalignment of teeth.. Your expert advise pls..

A. hi kids do this when they feel stressed or anxious. so first , you must check and make sure your child feel comfortable,safe and secured too. try to distract your child by giving toys or activities. tell stories which explain that such habits are not good for his health . at night ,give other comfort object like soft toy,soft blanket to your child but please don't be harsh stay calm consistent and positive.
