Q.

#asktheexpert Hello Doctor, my daughter is having stomach pain beside her belly button. I am currently using colimex syrup as per doctor's instructions. He said it may be due to some infection. And for that he gave antibiotic syrup. Can you please tell me what might be the cause of pain?

A. Most common is in digestion sometimes it could be associated with a stomach infection as well we cannot ignore that but in most of the three cases it is associated with indigestion so I’m not very certain why your doctor has given antibiotics without having a physical assessment but they have to be sure before antibiotics are given to the child
