#AskTheExpert Hello doctor my baby is 9 days old and he is having hiccups and his throat makes sound after feeding what should i do ? is it normal?

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. Hiccups are especially common in newborns and infants. We don't know exactly why, but hiccups may be caused by increased gas in the stomach,If babies overfeed or gulp air during eating, that could cause the stomach to expand and rub against the diaphragm, generating those hiccups
