#AskTheExpert hello doctor my baby is 12 months old now I am seeing redness in his lower gum is it sign of teething period ? now in how many days teeth will appear to see.

A. Hi. yes swollen and hardened gums is a sign of Teething phase.. you can facilitate the eruption process of teeth by gently massaging the gum pad area with clean finger tip or moist cold cotton cloth

A. hii There are no particular signs or symptoms of teething. These symptoms could last for a few days or spread over a few months if a lot of teeth start to erupt at the same time. This causes the gums to start hurting as they are still sensitive. Teething may cause the following symptoms –drooling, redness in gums, fussy baby, irritated baby, biting objects, putting finger in mouth
