It usually happens during lighter stages of sleep and is a sign that their nervous system is still developing. As babies grow, these movements typically decrease. However, if you notice any unusual or excessive twitching, or if the baby seems to be in distress, it's always a good idea to consult with a pediatrician to rule out any concerns.
