#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor, My 3 weeks baby is passing gas with crying frequently. He is crying in high pitch during nights. We are giving burping after every feed, but it's not helping. Are there any other tips to relieve gas? He is on mother feed and supplemented formula feed with spoon.

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. gas n colic is normal at this age as baby has still maturing digestive tract,
To prevent from getting gassy-
Feed in upright position. Allow her a good latch.
Burping after every feeding, will help her ease the gas.
To relive gases pain-,Apply hing paste around navel Massage on tummy in clockwise direction. And leg folding exercise.
Do daily body massage too..
practice tummy time
