#asktheexpert hello doctor! mu son is 2.8 years old and he sweats alot, and because of this he gets very frequently cold and cough in summers. As here in our city summers are bit hot and so we need to turn on the AC and fans, and as soon my son starts play or go out he sweats and then he gets I'll. please help us with the suggestions

A. it appears to be allergic cough/cold ( most commonly seen in children less than 6 years of age). usually they are not associated with fever and the cough and cold can continue for many weeks. they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning. also they may be food allergy ,cold allergy and allergy to dust,smoke,pollens also. requires examination and start anti allergic medicines. meet dr. there is a possibility of starting antix allergic medicines for at least one month and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhaler therapy or nebulization. when allergies are not controlled they can lead to intermittxent respiratory infections which needs other medicine
