Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello doctor, I recently noticed that my 6 month old son has the tissue connecting under his tongue to his base of mouth.. also known as tongue tie.. I am not very sure if it's actually a tongue tie and if it's very severe or not.. he does not have any issues in breast feeding, but I am not sure if it will affect his speech later on... I will be going to an ent specialist soon but consider business mindedness in everything i feel afraid they may frighten us to take major steps like operations even if not required. in the attached image, what do you feel, do you think it's a tongue tie? thanks!
