Q.

#asktheexpert Hello doctor, I'm just worried about my child's weight. My Daughter will turn 4 months in 3 days and she weighs 5.3 kgs. She has started teething also. I'm exclusively breastfeeding my daughter shall I start cow's milk so that she should gain weight or what changes I could make so that she should have some substantial weight gain.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and baby weight is mainly depends upon the birth weight and it should be doubled the birth weight in first six months and also always advisable to give baby cow milk or any other animal milk after the age of one year and after six months start semi solid food too. Take care
