Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello doctor I'm 29 weeks pregnant and my scan report showed " cisterna magna appeared enlarged measuring 15mm. A detailed neuro sonogram was done for the fetus and confirmed that there were no other structural abnormalities. In case of isolated mega cisterna magna, the prognosis is good and the fetus has a normal neuro developmental outcome ". I also have gestational diabetics. please advice what can be done for the cisterna magna and what impact it will have on the baby on future.

A. You can discuss in detail with the fetal medicine specialist if you’re still not convinced regarding the appearance of other abnormalities. Also like it has been already told you if it is a single entity it should not have any issue. Write Your Answer Here
