#AskTheExpert Hello Doctor. I have 04 months old kid and her second dose of vaccination like IPV, rota, PCV,HIB,Hepa was given on 21st April and her third dose is due a month after on this month same date, but can the vaccination be given two days prior on 19th May instead of 21st.Can PCV vaccine also be given 02 days prior? please suggest

A. it is always advisable for the baby to take the vaccination according to schedule for having proper immunity at present condition is a very bad it is advisable to postpone the vaccination

Q. my baby was given 2nd vaccination at government facility where they have not given pcv and ipv as per government schedule, as per government schedule 2 nd and 3rd dose of pcv/ipv will be given in 3rd and 9th month. But due to painful vaccination at government facility for 2nd dose my baby suffered high fever of 102f so now during 3rd month we have given 3rd dose at private hospital painless vaccination. And from now on we would like to continue vaccination at private hospital. But for the missed 2nd dose of PCV/IPV doctor told that DTwP/DTaP+Hib+IPV+HepB are all in one injection that is Hexaxim and IPV is not seperately available in single injection. So doctor suggested that in next month we can give OPV instead of IPV , it will not be a problem and PCV will be given as a separate injection. Please let me know that one dose of OPV can be given instead of IPV?
