#asktheexpert Hello doctor I am in my 35th week now...My doctor told me that I would be admitted after completing my 36th week of pregnancy. as I have gestationaldiabetes...Mam is it okay to be delivered after 36th week? and the aminoitic fluid is adequate which us 12.64 and my cervical length is 4.4 cm...May I have chances of having normal delivery?

A. if you are diabetes level is in control and not going very far you can wait till 37 weeks of pregnancy and then get delivered but if in case sugar levels is on higher side then yes definitely you should get delivered at 36 weeks

A. Normal delivery chances are good for you but the only thing is that your doctor does not want to take a chance of mostly the Dr is going to either introduce you a regular labour pain or she’s going to operate and 36 weeks is fine because you are going to be your nine months so it’s not a problem
