#asktheexpert hello doctor, how should we calculate the weight of a newborn each month whether it's normally progressing or not ?

A. It should be minimum half a kilo kilo kilogram gain and on the higher side a child can gain up to 1 kg kilogram in a month so that’s how you can evaluate by the age of six months it should be doubled or more than double the weight and by the age of 12 months it should be somewhere around 10 kg or three times of the birth whatever is on the higher side
