Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello Doc We are treating my baby’s uti infection … we had her routine test done after 10 days and reports were normal but in culture report we got e coli bacteria and the count is increased to >=10^5 now which initially was 10^3 … How come tyhe count is increased after giving antibiotics and with normal routine report . Is the antibiotics not working we are giving the same antibiotics prescribed by doc which is sensitive to this bacteria … How will this infection be cured … I am bit tensed for my 7.5 month old baby

A. it is advisable to go for another antibiotic which is sensitive and also it is advisable to go for two antibiotics if a single antibiotic is not working and see the dosage of antibiotic which is given and the proper methodology
