#asktheexpert hello doc My daughter is preterm born in 35 week gestation. She turned 7 month now, what should be her milestone? She is able to sit with help but she is not crawling right now. Is this ok?

A. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengthening the muscles nzeeded for sitting and crawling. in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to stand with support and later walkz with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention.

A. At 7 months corrected Your baby may: get into the crawling position by getting on their hands and knees. sit up straight for several minutes without using their hands and support. hold on to furniture without leaning their chest against it for support.
