#AskTheExpert hello doc my 5 month old baby have been suffering from cold and cough since 5 days i have used all the home remedies but it is not working at all even its increasing day by day please suggest me any medicine so that he gets well in a day

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper efvaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever isd there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

It is used to relieve common cold symptoms like headache, runny, stuffy, itchy nose, itchy/red/watery eyes, sneezing, and sore throat. It also relieves fever and body pains.
