#asktheexpert hello doc...my 19 month old boy weights 10 kg..is this correct weight for the age and he height 84 cm...wat I can I give for gaining weight...

A. Upto two years of age 10 kgs is fine. There are other factors along with weight that tells if the baby is healthy. Baby should be active, playful, eating well, height and head circumference should be in advised range. Until all these are fine then baby is healthy and not to worry much.

A. By the age of 18 it should be somewhere around 11 on the minimum side so which is why I am going to recommend it to be more of proteins to the child along with the diet that you are following that is going to be helpful in increasing the weight of your child and that is going to be beneficial for overall growth as well
