#asktheexpert Hello Doc, I’m enquiring about my daughter Myra. She is 5 yr 3 m old , but her weight is 13.9kgs. She eats alot, but didn’t gain weight. We live in US.Pls suggest

Oh Ma’am I think it would be good for you to have an assessment with the local doctor because see in India usually we have seen and believed that if the child is eating a lot yet not gaining weight then either it is a digestion related issue or constipation or most commonly nutritional deficiency but in this case you have to check what it is it’s because that is why despite of eating while the child is not gaining weight
