#AskTheExpert Gud mrng sir. this question is about my son. He is an active boy who loves to roam around the house all the day. He didn't show any interest towards food. his weight is 15 kgs. is it ok or should I do anything to increase his weight and what to do to improve his interest towards food

A. baby is 5 years Kids are often fussy eaters try to add new flavours colours and textures to the diet add more fruits and vegetables in the diet add dry fruits powder in the diet maintain hygiene in the area clean with Luke warm water maintain hydration and keep a track on urine output

A. Hi mom If ur child is active and playful then no need to worry about weight much. By five years the weight should be anywhere between 15-17 kgs. Give all that you cook for your family. Include egg, ghee, dry fruits, dairy products like paneer curd cheese, Banana shake, potatoes, rice, avocado, ragi etc in ur baby's diet for weight gain. Give natural appetiser like coconut water, jeera water, curd with mint, ajwain water etc to increase the appetite of ur baby
