Q.

#AskTheExpert Good Morning Sir. My kid has started coughing and developed fever which went upto 102° but we gave Ibugesic 5 ml in the night as prescribed by his doctor last time and there is no fever now. But he's uncomfortable, not crying just cranky. What should we do ? Both me and my husband had fever and bad throat and got ourselves tested COVID negative.

A. 0Omicron variant is likely to be more infective and spread easily. Its symptoms are cough fatigue runny nose congestion. Children show predominantly upper respiratory tract infection likr fever, runny nose, throat pain, body ache , dry cough. It is recommended to wear a mask regardless of the vaccination status and maintain social distancing. use of sanitizer is recommended .To combat discomfort caused by gases in the babies you need to burp them properly post every feeding session, give few minutes of tummy time regularly to release out the gases. You can also give gastica drops or Himalaya bonnisan drops
