Better to go for feeling right now otherwise the doctor may have advised to go for a root canal or extraction which would have been more painful for the child so get a feeling done and it’s a very easy process just comfort your child and go to a dentist was specifically for kids they know their job better than a regular dentist this is how to deal with the kids at how to make them comfortable
