#AskTheExpert Good evening sir, My baby boy is frequently putting his hand on his private place. Some times I loose patience and I hit him. Is it common in babies ? What should I do to get rid my baby from this habit? Please suggest me sir.

A. Definitely it is not a matter of Issue and it is absolutely common for babies to touch their private parts especially as it is kept closed all the time because we use diapers or something else. Don’t worry about it the child is too young to understandWrite Your Answer Here

A. He's quickly taking out his hand when I see him doing this thing. He was doing like this when he used to wear Pampers. Now I'm not using Pampers in the morning, then also he's doing the same thing and will do more if nikker is small. All these things developed a kind of fear in me. But In shaa Allah after reading of Anjum madem's answer that it is common in babies, I've calm down about this and I will definitely take light about this. I will make him understand about these private parts after some time of period. Hopefully my toddler will definitely understand In shaa Allah. If he'll not understand and do the same thing I'll again come here for doctor's suggestions.

A. Thank you Rashmi sis, he isn't having any problem. He is doing like this just as a habit. Especially while he will be taking milk bottle at night or when his private parts are visible. That's why I'm worrying much that's it. My fear is if this habit will turn into a bad habit in his life.
