#AskTheExpert Good evening doctor,From yesterday my baby is affected by some skin allergies like boils nearly chicken pox.so he is suffering from itching and rashes too.Now I am giving him cetrizine syrup that was consulted by doctor before for some type of allergy.so with thiz shall I apply lotion like caladryl or calosoft lotion? Which lotion will prefer for baby? or I have to consult doctor immediately? these allergies are mainly came in his fingers hands legs back ..in face it look like reddish

A. it looks hfmd Hand foot mouth disease is viral in origin and mostly symptomatic treatment is required because it is a self limiting disease and here fever come and small eruptions may be seen in hands foot face and other parts of the body along with oral ulcerations so give plenty of liquids to maintain proper hydration and maintain a goofd hygiene . Some multivitamin syrup along with antihistamine can be given . For oral ulcer dologel can be applied locally
