A. hi there are many things that can raise your risk for heart disease .they are called risk factors . some of them you can not control ,but there are many factors you can control. 1.control your bp by limiting your salt and sugar intake. 2.keep your cholesterol levels under control. for that , avoid taking processed oily spicy food. 3.stay at healthy weight. 4 .eat healthy diet like plenty of fresh fruits , vegetables ,whole grains etc 5.do regular exercises,yoga or pranayam 6 don't smoke and drink 7.practice meditation to get relief in stress. 8.make sure you get enough sleep.
