Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injectionz site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

Calpol you can give this to the child and you can repeat it again after six hours fever is commonly seen after a vaccination so you can repeat this medicine and the fever can last for about 24 to 48 hours also you can do cold sponging to help down in reducing down the temperature
