#AskTheExpert Dr. I am father of a premature born baby of 7 months he is now 1 month old plz prescribe medicines or any thing else for weight gain. Weight at the time of birth was 1 kg , baby was in nicu in normal condition for 1 months at the time of discharge baby's wt. was 1350 gms . Baby gained only 20 gms wt. in 1 week after discharge from hospital. So , Dr. plz give ur suggestion for rapid and fast weight gain.

Ideal thing would be consulting your doctor itself because there are special medication and also formula milks which can be given to the baby but if the baby is on breastmilk in the mother should take high-protein diet as it will improve both quantity and quality of milk and will add on weightWrite Your Answer Here
