Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. sometimes can occur
but low grade and 1 to 2 times.
when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
RashmiMom of a 10 yr 11 m old girl1 Year agoA. If you’ve given painless vaccination then fever does not come there is only .01% chance that the fever is going to come otherwise it doesn’t come so pain pain can be there for a while as soon as the vaccination is done the pain gets vanished but on the vaccination site you should keep ice cube and you can apply tubes to reduce down the swelling the name is Thermophob and you can do this process twice or thrice
