#AskTheExpert Dear Sir/Madam, My kid's weight is not increasing inspite of breastfeeding, Can I give formula milk along with breast milk?If yes, what's the frequency and how many times I can give it? Thank you

A. first of all meet your doctor and get the weight of the child assessment done. if the weight gain of the child is within normal limits as well as the urine output is normal then do not worry about the feeding pattern, the sleeping pattern and the crying pattern of the chhild. your doctor is the best person to tell you whether any outside milk is required or not until that time kindly continue only breastfeeding. continue exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months of age of the child. small all children take demand feeding that is when they feel hungry they will take feeding.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is too early and please give your baby breastfeeding exclusively and also if baby is doing minimum six to eight times pee that means baby is having sufficient milk. Take care
