Q.

#AskTheExpert Dear doctor madam, My baby is 2 and a half months old now. She intakes a combination of breast fed milk and formula milk. However in the past few days her formula milk intake has increased to around 200 ml per day (4 to 6 times a day of 30 ml each formula feed). Is the quantity high? How much should be the ideal intake for her. Her weight as of now is 3.2 kg. She was born with 2.1 kg. Kindly please suggest on how much to restrict her intake of formula milk feed.

A. hello baby being 2 months old may need around '60 ml of milk per feed which should be good enough and if giving bm also then you can plan the intake of infant formula milk accordingly and baby gaining a minimum of 600 grams to 800 grams per month is a good weight gain and to feed infant formula milk always use a bpa free bottle like Babyhug or any bpa free bottle
