After 6 month complete you can start weaning your child with simple foods that are prepared at home or cerelac, nestum kind of Pre- prepared baby foods.
At that time you can also start giving water but it is always preferable to avoid using salt sugar and honey till 1 year.
Continue breastfeeding the baby but you should make sure that you are either giving breastfeed or formula Milk but not animal milk before 1 year.
You can give rice porridge Ragi porridge mashed soft fruits like Banana Chiku Apple Puree and other seasonal fruits like mangoes, watermelons etc.

you can add ghee butter cheese in moderate amount for taste
you can use dates or dates syrup or fruits puree as natural sweetener
