#asktheexpert Can I switch on fan in the room at a moderate speed where my 2 weeks old daughter is sleeping? If yes, what precautions are to be taken?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. if the temperature of the room is at normal temperature then yes you can use a fan at moderate speed but if you see that the child is experiencing cold peripheries that is coldness present in the hands and legs then it is advisable to stop the fan

Yes you can use, Young infants who sleep in bedrooms with fans have a lower risk of sudden infant death syndrome than babies who sleep in less well-ventilated rooms, new research shows. Investigators concluded that sleeping with a fan lowers SIDS risk by more than 70%.
