#AskTheExpert can I feed my one month old with a gap of 3-4 hours since he sleeps most of the times.

A. Dear ma’am, you can give a gap of upto three hours during the day time. Your baby needs eight to ten feeds in 24 hours time. It’s important for his growth and also to improve and maintain your milk supply

A. new born babies will sleep most of the time.. new born will sleep around 16-18hrs ... you should maintain a feeding gap around 2-3hrs at the day time and at the night time the gap may be around 4-5hrs .. exclusively breast feeding is recommended till the baby complete six months..
