#asktheexpert can I feed khichdi for 5 month old??

A. you can better wait forever baby to complete 6 months of age and enter 7th month to start any complementary foods to the baby you can give khichdi afterwards no problem

A. It is recommended to introduce semi solid foods in baby's diet between the age of 5-6 months. You can feed pureed khichdi mixed with variety of vegetables. Start with smaller quantity as observe how well baby is able to digest it. Also, give lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, carrot and pear puree, mixed vegetable soup, ragi and sooji porridge, home made cerelac, etc.
