Yes cerelac can be given to 6.5 months old but store bought cerelac should be avoided completely unless it’s some emergency or you are travelling
For a 6 month old you can give liquids like thin Upma or thin home made cerelac or daal or rice kanji or puréed vegetables or soft fruits or soups
