#asktheexpert can babies of age 2yr 8 month have cavity?do I have to go for dentist or it's normal?

A. Yes. Cavity can occur at any age and all teeth including the milk teeth are important. It is better to visit a pedodontist and get proper treatment and consultation done.

A. Cavities are infections and may recommend fixing cavities on baby teeth if it is a significant infection. Cavities can pass from tooth to tooth, just like a cold. So, if you leave a cavity in a tooth long enough, your child's other teeth can start to get cavities.
