#AskTheExpert birth weight 3kg, 2.5 months 4.5kg..is growth proper?? How to increase weight

A. dear mom yes weight seems to be fine by 6 months babies weight almost doubles and by 1 year it almost triples exclusive breastfeeding till 6 month is recommended

A. Hi dear Try to feed for longer duration. 15-20 mins each breast. This way baby will get balanced foremilk and hind milk. Foremilk comes in the beginning for 5-10 mins then comes the hind milk which is rich in fats and can help baby gain weight. So always empty a breast each I think this should help your baby gain weight
