A. Yes, you can give Vitamin A and D supplements to a 1 year 9 month old baby, but only if advised by your pediatrician. Vitamin A is usually given as part of government health programs every 6 months after 9 months of age, while Vitamin D may be needed if the child has limited sun exposure or signs of deficiency. Do not give capsules on your own, as overdose of these fat-soluble vitamins can be harmful. A doctor will recommend the correct dosage and form (usually drops or syrup) based on your child’s health and nutritional needs.
