#asktheexpert baby is just 7 days old. there is a light pale yellow color slightly visible inside the white areas of the eyes and some on the face and chest. The doctor said the bilirubin level is ok at the time of discharge.

If you feel that there is a yellowish discoloration and that is increasing, then better consult your doctor and check the bilirubin levels, and if it is normal, then keeping the baby in early morning sunlight and under the tube light it will be sufficient, but if it is too high then it will require phototherapy.
