Rashes can be due to many reasons like a food allergy or diaper (if the rashes are in the diaper area) or infection or insect bite or a skin care product which didn't suit the baby or sometimes due to heat . If the rashes are spreading and looks cracked or bleeds or looks very reddish or is associated with fever you should get the baby examined by your pediatrician. Otherwise harmless rashes will go away on their own when u stop giving that food (for older babies) or if the mother stop taking that food(in case of Breastfeeding babies) or stop using that skin care product. Even after taking these steps if there is no improvement it's good to consult with your pediatrician. For dryness, You can choose a product which contains good moisturising ingredients like coconut oil or glycerin or oatmeal. Coconut oil is the best natural moisturiser. Glycerine helps to acquire moisture from the air into the skin's outer layer. Oatmeal has the quality of retaining the skin's moisture and protect against dryness, rashes or severe irritation or itching.
