Q.

#AskTheExpert Baby 1.2 year old and has continous vomiting , even vomiting all the medicines given by doctor for fever, antibiotic and for vomit and then got the injection for vomiting, but after the antibiotic medicine, he again vomited, he also has cough , right now he is given vomidon, monclav, ondiford-sp and meftil-p,

A. Cough is a protective reflex of the body to expel out the mucus or any irritant factor from the respiratory tract which is most of the time assosiated with cold due to any viral or bacterial infection . A proper examination is reuquired to find the cause . As a home remedy you can start with steam inhalation . Cough can be treated with cough suptpressant or antitussives as per the cause. For cold antihistamines are useful and nasal saline drops are also benifecial .
