#AskTheExpert Assalamu alaikum. My daughter is 6 yr old now and weighs only 16 kgs. Her appearance is very thin and seems to be like weak at times. Kindly advice some good diet to improve her health. Thanks

A. Ideal weight of a 6 years pld girl should be around 19 to 20 kgs depending on eating habits and physical activities. To increase the weight, include fatty and protein rich foods like potato, rice, pumpkin, sweet potato, eggs, chicken, fish, legumes, ghee, milkshakes with dry fruits, banana, avocado, rice water and 500 to 550 ml milk everyday. Feed 3 main meals and 2-3 times healthy snacks including variety of fluids.
