Begin with soft, easy-to-digest foods like rice cereal, mashed banana, apple puree, moong dal water, and mashed potato or sweet potato. Introduce one new food at a time and wait 2–3 days before trying another to check for allergies. Offer solids 1–2 times a day in small amounts, gradually increasing as your baby shows interest. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, and cow’s milk at this stage. Continue giving breast milk or formula as the main source of nutrition while solids are just for practice and taste initially.
